Company
We at Zalando have a strong commitment to following applicable laws and our internal ethical and compliance policies. As stated in our Code of Conduct, we also expect every business partner working with us to act in compliance with the law and the highest ethical standards. To prevent violations and to react to them in an adequate manner, we offer separate reporting channels for both employees and externals to report possible violations of our policies.
These channels enable any person to report concerns, including anonymously.These tools are externally hosted, confidential, and available 24/7, 365 days per year. All the reports are received and processed directly by Zalando. However, if you prefer to report your concern to your local point of trust, you are also free to use available local channels.

What can be reported?
You can report serious matters of legal or ethical violations, such as but not limited to:
- Human and labor rights violations
- Unequal treatment
- Non-compliance with employment contracts, compensation, or working hours
- Disregarding occupational health and safety
- Exploitation of child labor or failure to protect young workers
- Forced labor or exploitation of migrant workers
- Unlawful sourcing or handling of conflict minerals and metals
- Disregarding freedom of association and bargaining rights
- Human rights abuses connected with environmental damages
- Acts of corruption and anti-financial crime violations

How are the complaints handled?
All reports are processed by the Zalando Corporate Compliance Team. All reporters will receive confirmation of receipt of their report within seven (7) working days. All valid complaints will be investigated, and appropriate actions to resolve the violation will be initiated. The reporter will be provided with updates of the proceedings within three (3) months after the report was received.
Zalando treats every report confidentially and will not tolerate any discrimination of or retaliation against individuals who raise compliance concerns in good faith. Retaliation itself is a violation of our ethical standards and will be investigated accordingly.

Zalando offers a dedicated secure reporting channel for external users, which enables any person to report potential violations anonymously.
This portal can be accessed via a web browser or by phone (available in selected countries). It gives you the option to remain completely anonymous if you choose not to submit your contact data when sending the report.
- Reporting via Phone: you can access the compliance hotline in your local language and leave a spoken message detailing your report, which will be securely forwarded to us. At the end of the call, you will be provided with a unique case number to follow up on your report’s progress.
- Reporting via Web: Upon submitting your report online, you will be provided with a unique case number to create a secure password for your secure inbox. Through this secure portal, our Compliance team can communicate with you to clarify questions and exchange further information while fully maintaining your anonymity.
