Zalando Hosts Style Jury at Vienna Life Ball

Saturday June 2, Zalando made its first appearance as partner at Vienna’s stunning Life Ball. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the event this year paid homage to “The Sound of Music,” with the lavish set design and myriad costumes drawing inspiration from the iconic movie. Singer Conchita Wurst as Sister Maria, and actor Herbert Föttinger as Captain Von Trapp, played host for the glamorous evening celebration. Notable guests, Charlize Theron, Patti LaBelle, Adrian Brody, Paris Jackson, Caitlyn Jenner, and Rufus Wainwright, were also in attendance.

The Vienna Life Ball is a star-studded annual event that fights for all those living with HIV/AIDS. Zalando was honored to join forces with Life Ball as host of this year’s style contest. The Zalando jury’s guest judges, Kelly Osbourne, Alexandra Daddario, Betty Who, and Kyle Farmery, had the difficult task of choosing the most original costume of the evening.

A fashion show, curated by Robert Rabensteiner and playfully titled, “It’s Wedding Time,” saw stunning pieces, both classic and new, showcased by fashion behemoths, Viktor&Rolf, Jean Paul Gaultier, Dsquared2, and Elie Saab, among others.

Concluding celebrations, guests were invited into the impressively lit City Hall for the evening ball, where the Life Ball Queen 2018, as voted by the Zalando jury, was finally announced.
