Berlin 17 February 2025 // Zalando launched the Trend Forecast earlier this year to industry and it is now available to customers. It's a new innovative report showcasing emerging fashion trends set to take hold in 2025. Using data driven insight from Zalando’s Trend Spotter combined with the knowledge of Zalando's in-house fashion experts, the Trend Forecast presents five core emerging trends – Victorian Decorum, Power Dressing, Playful Proportions, Sheer Confidence and Modern Heritage.

2025 Trend Forecast - Playful Proportions

Using the Zalando Trend Spotter – a feature drawing insights from Zalando’s unique position of connecting fashion brands with 50+ million customers across Europe – the 2025 Trend Forecast analyses key search data to anchor the emerging trends. These insights combined with extensive analysis of recent runway trends and cultural research by Zalando’s experts provide the basis for the 2025 Trend Forecast.

The five key trends predicted to inspire customers this year are influenced by wider cultural trends including the need for escapism and stability. Whilst Victorian Decorum is set to appeal to those wishing to be whisked away to a bygone era, Playful Proportions and Sheer Confidence will feed creative minds searching for new avenues to express individuality. Power Dressing is predicted to provide a sense of both stability and confidence. Finally, Modern Heritage is set to give wearers both a sense of collective comfort and individualism through an updated take on boarding school chic.
