BERLIN, 8th of June 2026 / For the first time, Zalando is presenting a show featuring the German men's national team from their tournament preparations in Germany and the USA, offering direct, exclusive access to the players during the biggest football tournament of the year. Leveraging the unique proximity to the squad through its five-year strategic partnership with the DFB, the video format follows the players throughout the tournament phase. Over several episodes, fans can get closer than ever before to learn more about the personality, individual preparation rituals, and personal style of their favorite players beyond the 90 minutes on the pitch.
The video format forms the centerpiece of the new digital hub "90+", which unites football culture, fashion, and inspiration on Zalando through daily updated, originally-produced content, interactive experiences, and a curated assortment—positioning it as the ultimate destination for football enthusiasts.

Experience the players up close with a new video format
Through its exclusive proximity alongside the squad in Germany and the USA, the format reports almost live from the preparations of the German national team. In eleven episodes, football fans get to know their favorite players from a side never seen before and learn more about the lives of the professionals and how fashion supports them in living their own style with confidence—on the pitch as well as in everyday life. The format is hosted by former professional footballers and today's star creators Niklas-Wilson Sommer and Sidney Friede, who capture particularly special moments through their personal relationship with the squad. New episodes will appear throughout the world cup group stages and can be accessed directly via 90+ on Zalando.

Zalando is transforming into the central digital destination for football enthusiasts. In the "90+" fan zone, fashion, sport, and entertainment merge to seamlessly integrate the tournament atmosphere into the fans' everyday lives. In addition to the video content of the German men's national team, football enthusiasts can expect new, original content every day. This includes short documentaries from the cities of New York, Seattle, and Mexico City, which explore the style and football culture of the respective host cities, as well as a documentary series that accompanies passionate DFB fans and examines the history and emotional significance of the national jersey with them. One of many further program highlights is the "Kit Check" format, which tells the stories behind the jerseys from the perspective of Zalando employees.
