We are implementing a series of actions and measures in addition to our regular service propositions that make it even easier for brands and retailers to accelerate their digital business with Zalando.


Below is a short message from David Schneider, Zalando founder and Co-CEO, on the purpose behind these measures:

3 reasons to accelerate your direct-to-consumer business with Zalando today

#1 Quick access to demand

You can quickly accelerate your digital sales, there is no limit to the number of SKUs you upload, and you can access all 17 markets Zalando is active in (Czech Republic and Ireland only in combination with Zalando Fulfillment Solutions).


For new partners, Direct Integration allows you to connect to our platform in just 12 days (depending on your brands’ readiness). This removes up-front expenses.


#2 Faster cash 

We will offer bi-weekly payouts for Partner Program partners, upon request.Decreased topline will put many at risk of financial distress. Starting December 15, 2020, until the end of March 2021, all Partner Program partners can apply for a faster payout of their revenues at no additional cost.

#3 Increased visibility for your brand

We will amplify your customer engagement and growth in the form of Zalando Marketing Services co-investments. As customers shift from offline to online, we want to share these tailwinds and support you in connecting with your customers and securing market share. We have set aside 10m EUR to help you drive brand awareness and traffic, and tell your brand stories, which is more important now than ever.

3.1 We will extend the 5m EUR Fashion Activation Fund until the end of Q2/2021 for Partner Program and Connected Retail partners. Zalando Marketing Services is offering free visibility on Zalando for you to promote your products and brand stories. In total, we can offer up to 5k EUR in free onsite visibility for up to 1000 partners, including those who sign up to join Zalando prior to March 31, 2021.

3.2 We will utilize 25% of our wholesale scale growth discounts earned in 2020 to co-invest into Zalando Marketing Services. We have set aside a further 5m EUR which is available for all wholesale partners with a scale discount who run marketing activities in Q1/2021. The co-investment will be allocated based on campaign bookings and can be spent anytime in Q1/2021 on onsite placements in connection with already planned, as well as new, campaigns.
