Birthday Talks: For our 10th birthday, our brand partners tell their personal Zalando stories. This time: Stine Bering, Brand Director at 2NDDAY.

As Stine Bering, brand director of the Scandinavian label 2NDDAY, talks about Zalando at Bread&&Butter, it's loud. Very loud. As Stine begins to talk, klaxons blares from a rodeo bull at this year at 2NDDAY’s booth; signalling that another eager visitor has taken a tumble. Our chat revolves around the long lasting partnership, possibilities, and the fact that Stine also likes to use the platform privately.

When I hear “Zalando…”

...I think of tempo. The entire company is built around their entrepreneurial spirit. Everywhere you feel freshness, ideas and again and again the question: What can we do to grow further? And to further go even further to cater to our consumers.

...was a pair of sneakers. I also like to use the platform privately, so I already knew the customer experience before we started working together, which of course leads to an even better cooperation and understanding of the platform.

A very special moment that I like to remember...

...was at the Fashion Week in Copenhagen. Together with Jennifer, a buyer at Zalando, we wanted to develop an exclusive collection. It actually took a lot of time, but at Fashion Week we sat down at a table in total turmoil and drew freely in my notebook, and just shared the ideas and made it possible to create something in a very dynamic way. The result was a very successful collaboration. Even better than expected!

Zalando is developing more and more into one of the biggest online platforms for fashion, and is bringing brands and customers even closer together.

The special thing about Zalando...

...is the people behind it. Zalando is such a big organization, it would be the most normal thing in the world if the cooperation was business as usual. But the relationship is great: We understand Zalando and the people at Zalando understand us. There are so many dedicated and passionate people behind Zalando. That is what makes them different.

When I think of the next ten years...

...then I almost don't dare to think of where it will take us. The industry is changing so fast! But I think Zalando is developing more and more into one of the biggest online platforms for fashion, and is bringing brands and customers even closer together. Together we can meet the consumers of the future and create a new world together.
