Connected Retail expands to Poland, Sweden, and Spain in July to continue to support partners with offline stores

As of July 1, Connected Retail will be live in Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, and Spain, with zero commission fees for new partners and weekly payouts.

To support partners with physical stores during the Coronavirus crisis, Zalando introduced a special Connected Retail offering in Germany and the Netherlands on April 1, 2020, valid until May 30, 2020. Commission fees were waived and payout cycles were shortened to weekly payouts. The outcome was overwhelmingly positive. The most successful partners shipped 6,400 orders on a single day. 

“However, the crisis is not over and retailers continue to see noticeable effects on their business: consumers are only slowly returning to the high streets. So we decided to not only prolong our offer in existing markets, Germany and the Netherlands, but also to launch Connected Retail with a commission-free order in three new European markets: Sweden, Spain, and Poland from July,”  says Carsten Keller, VP Direct to Consumer at Zalando.

Details of the new offer

The new offer is valid until the end of 2020, and open to all retailers and brands with physical stores: 


  • Zero commission fees: Zalando will waive commission for all new partners in the first two to three months (subject to which markets partners operate in).  
  • Weekly payments: We will pay out Connected Retail revenues to partners on a weekly basis to help with your liquidity situation.
  • Eligible markets: Connected Retail is fully operational in Germany and Netherlands, and will be launched in Poland, Sweden, Spain from July 1.

All interested retailers need to connect to the Zalando platform via Connected Retail is a merchandise management system, a computer with internet access, a printer, a contract with a shipping partner, and exciting products. We personally guide each partner through the process and after only a few days the store is connected and the first orders can be received via our tool. Sound good?
